This year, the AZ Puppy Contest welcomes judges from the state of Arizona and beyond! The judges are respected community leaders who come from a variety of backgrounds. Together, they will serve as a well-rounded group of individuals to select the next AZ Puppy and AZ Alpha-Beta. Keep reading to learn more about this year’s judges.
Puppy Fifi
The Puppy Fifi, aka Amy, found a home in the Chicago Leather community in the early 2000s. She was the head slave in a high protocol leather household, serving her owners and managing the other slaves.
The Puppy Fifi, a proper circus poodle, won the Great Lakes Leather Puppy title at CellBlock Chicago, in 2003 and then went on to win the International Puppy title at IPTC in Dallas, Texas in 2004. The Puppy Fifi is the first female IPTC Puppy titleholder. She spent her title years traveling the US spreading the joys of life as a puppy.
She now resides in South Bend, Indiana, and continues to travel spreading the love of a puppy’s life.
Pup Bubblez
From the land of sunshine and tail wags, Riverside, California, it’s the one, the only, Pup Bubblez, LA Pup 2024! This 35-year-old pup bounced from ballroom to bear to BDSM and landed in our loving pup community!
He has been a pup for 5 years Leading the fantastic “B.M.K. Kennel”, Pup Bubblez throws the empowering “Body Pawsitivity” event alongside Spanky Flips and the vibrant Hot Chocolate party.
He’s a national treasure, spreading joy and pup play education, earning the “Heart of the Community” and “DJ Mix Master” titles, and making history as the first LA Puppy in Los Angeles Band of Brothers (LABB)!
Dick Skinny
Paws up for Dick Skinny—your favorite trans drag king with enough charm to make tails wag! As 2024 Mr. Stacy’s and Mister Phoenix Pride, Dick has lit up stages across Phoenix and beyond. They’re also a 2-time WGI Open Class finalist, proving they’ve got bark and bite.
Offstage, Dick serves the community as a medical assistant and outreach coordinator at Your Health and Wellness, an LGBTQ+ clinic run entirely by queer staff.
From rhinestones to wet noses, Dick brings flair, heart, and a whole lot of pup-titude. Whether you’re a seasoned showdog or a fresh-faced pup, you’re in good paws with this judge. Give it up for the one and only—Dick Skinny!
DAvid Hoffman
Hoffman has been producing queer and queer-adjacent events in Tucson since the late 1980s. A native Arizonan (and a near-native Tucsonan), Hoffman was a founding member of Reveille Men’s Chorus and Green Thursday Theatre Project (a queer theatre company).
His company, Golden Gravy Productions, currently produces Tucson’s longest running comedy show, Retro Game Show Night, along with Fulta & Friends Cocktail Cabaret, Meat pop-up gay bar, Fruit Cocktail Lounge LGBTQIA+ jazz cocktail party and Laugh Out Lounge stand-up comedy night.
He also produces special events including Tucson Pride’s Pageant for the People and the official after-party of Tucson Pride Weekend, Club Pride.
Gaby
Gaby has been involved in the Leather Community for over 4 decades starting in New York City and they have been actively involved in communities from east to west coasts with memberships in Club X (San Diego), Red Hankies San Diego (RHSD), and as a founder of the Arizona Women of Leather (AWOL) Gaby was named Ms. AWOL in 2006 by their sisters and is very proud to wear that title.
Locally they are known as a reliable judge, tally master, and stage director in a number of contests, most recently Mr. Anvil Phoenix
Outside interests include animal rescue, canine nutrition (talk to her about dogs), reading and spending time with her lovely spouse.
Brooklyn DeMornay
Brooklyn DeMornay, is a 48 year old Leather woman of color. The First acknowledged female bear in the world but NOT the first female bear. Miss World Bear 2018, a Patched member of the ONYX Pearls, First Afro Latina Empress of the Imperial Court of Arizona, she is a board member of Queer Center AZ, Currently holds the National title Miss Legend USA 2025 and Proud and Honored to be 2nd in charge of House of Shangri-La (rest in power Goddess Sadie Hawkins) .
The community as a whole is what she strives to help, what this means is EVERY community.
Safe BDSM & Kink education, Education about sex trafficking and how it affects the USA, and HIV/AIDS education for AFAB and Black persons are her platforms. She has presented at CLAW and SELF and was the first woman of color to receive the Pantheon of Leather award for the Rocky Mountain region.
Tallymaster: Pup Mosfet
Pup Mosfet has been a pup for 9 years and is a Tucson community leader. He is the former president of Desert Leathermen.
